: You can make this setting without connecting the USB cable of Authentication Unit (IC Card Type) AU-
201 to the USB port of the main body.
IC Card Setting

[Set] When selecting [ON] for IC Card, also select [FeliCa],
[Type A], or [FeliCa + Type A] for the card type to be
used.
Public User [Allow] Allows users to use the machine without requiring an
operation for authentication, such as entering pass-
words or using IC cards.
[Restrict] Disallows the use of the machine for public users.
Account Track [Manage] Enables the account authentication.
Setting is unavailable with [ON (External Serv)] select-
ed for User Authentication.
Selecting [ON (MFP)] for User Authentication and
[OFF] for IC Card allows you to select [Synchronize] or
[Not Synchronize] for Synchronize User/Account
Track. Selecting [Not Synchronize] also allows you to
select [Account + Password] or [Password] for Ac-
count Track Input Method.
Selecting [ON (MFP)] for User Authentication and [ON]
for IC Card selects [Synchronize] automatically for
Synchronize User/Account Track.
[Not Manage] Disables the account authentication.
Account Track Input
Method [Account + Password] Selectable when you select [OFF] for User Authentica-
tion and [Manage] for Account Track. An account
name and account password are required for account
authentication.
[Password] Selectable when you select [OFF] for User Authentica-
tion and [Manage] for Account Track. An account
password only is required for account authentication.
Synchronize Us-
er/Account Track [Synchronize] Selectable when you select [ON (MFP)] for User Au-
thentication and [Manage] for Account Track. Select-
ing [ON] for IC Card automatically selects this option.
Users who registered an account can get authenticat-
ed by entering a user name and user password only.
[Not Synchronize] Selectable when you select [ON (MFP)] for User Au-
thentication, OFF for [IC Card], and [Manage] for Ac-
count Track. In this case, IC Card becomes
unavailable and you can select [Account + Password]
or [Password] for Account Track Input Method. De-
pending on the selection of Account Track Input
Method, you may be required to enter an account
name in addition to a user name, user password, and
account password.
[User Distribute Number] Enter the number of User Authentication to distribute
a total of 1,000 authentication entries. The number of
entries for Account Track will be the remainder after
subtracting the set number from 1,000.
Upper Limit Achieve
Movement [Stop Immediately] The machine stops the job operation immediately as
soon as the upper limit*

is reached. In this case, out-
put data and scanned data will not be retained.
[Stop After Print] The machine does not stop the job operation even
though the upper limit*

is reached. After completion
of that job, the machine becomes unavailable for use.
[Warning Only] The machine displays the message to inform you that
the upper limit*
2
is reached, however, it allows the
next job to be operated.
Count Sample Print

[ON] Includes the page count of sample prints into the
counter.
[OFF] Excludes the page count of sample prints into the
counter.
