3.8 Hold Setting
The machine equipped with Paper Feeder Unit (with scanner) PF-705 can temporarily store job data
scanned from the ADF or from the original glass into memory, and then allows you to check them on the
Job List Screen for output or saving them on an HDD.
The jobs stored on the HDD can be output from the HDD Recall Screen, returned to the Hold Job Screen,
and also deleted from the HDD.
This section describes how to store job data scanned from the ADF or from the original glass into memory.
NOTICE
Descriptions provided in this guide suppose that the machine is equipped with Paper Feeder Unit (with
scanner) PF-705 and Hard Disk Kit HD-514. Hold Job and HDD Recall functions are available on the ma-
chine mounted with Image Controller IC-601 in addition to the above options.

Up to 100 hold jobs can be stored. The machine will be unavailable to hold another job when hold job
count exceeds 100. Hold jobs cannot be deleted automatically. The machine can be set to delete un-
operated jobs in chronological order. Please contact your service representative, if desired.
0 The number of hold jobs is displayed in the message area of the Hold Job Screen. The display turns
red when the Hold Job Number exceeds 90.
0 Up to 32,000 pages of data can be stored as the sum of hold jobs, jobs stored on HDD, and jobs in
operation.

Position the original.

Press [COPY] tab to display the Copy Screen.
% Make copy selections, as desired.

Press [Hold Setting].
The Hold Setting Screen will be displayed.

Select either [Hold + Print] or [Hold].
