6 Using the Laborota 4002 / 4003 control
This chapter covers the basic steps in using the Laborota 4002 / 4003 control
rotary evaporators.
The parameters for the distillation are entered and monitored on the control
panel.
The selected parameters are saved. The parameters last used will appear on
the display after a restart or an extended period in which the instrument is not
used.

6.1 Setting the rotating speed
Instrument is switched on.
Rotation is switched off (Rot Start Stop button (7)).
At the left-hand stop the speed is not zero, but corresponds to the minimum
speed value.
Switch off rotation (Rot Start Stop button (7)).
1. Press Select (15) button until Act Speed LED is lit.
2. Press
Rot Start Stop
(7) button.
The drive rotates at minimum speed when the Rotation knob (11) is turned
all the way to the left.
3. Turn the Rotation knob (11) to set the desired speed.
The set speed is shown on the display (14).
