8.1.2 Resetting the temperature limiter

The temperature limiter is designed to turn off the heating bath in case the

temperature controller fails and the temperature of the heating bath exceeds

the maximum by approx. 10%.

Heating bath is cool.

Hot surfaces!

Danger of burns.

Let heating bath cool.

1. Remove the liquid from the heating bath.

2. Press the temperature limiter (1), using a pointed object if necessary.

The seal in the valve (1) can be adjusted with a screwdriver.

Danger of glass breakage!

Danger of cuts.

Take care not to turn the adjuster screw too far.

1. Tighten the screw of the valve in the junction G6 (2) to the stop.
2. Turn the adjuster screw clockwise until a white ring can be seen on the

glass shaft.
