4.4.3 Moving the heating bath

When using large evaporating flasks or spacers between the evaporating flask

and vapour tube, it becomes necessary to increase the distance between the

heating bath and the drive.

Holding the heating bath by the grip, move it on the tracks and position it

as required (see Fig. 4-1, page 83).

For applications for which the standard range is not enough, the range of

movement can be increased to 210 mm using the extension plate (see

chapter 10.2, page 133).

4.4.4 Connecting the instrument base

AC voltage and rated AC voltage printed on identification plate do not
match!

Damage due to overvoltage.

Ensure that your local AC voltage corresponds to that stated on the

identification plate.

Unintentional activation of the drive and heating bath!

Injury and burning of the hands.

Ensure that the power of the instrument base and heating bath is switched

off.

By default the instrument intended for use with 230/240 V is equipped with a

EURO plug (DIN 49441 CEE 7/VII 10/ 16 A 250 V), while those intended for

120 V have standard US plugs (NEMA Pub. No. WDI.1961 ASA C 73.1. 1961,

p. 8, 15 A 125 V).
To use the instrument in a country with a different plug standard, use an

approved adapter or have the plug replaced by a qualified electrician.

The plug sockets are located on the rear of the instrument.

Instrument is switched off.

Heating is installed on the instrument base.
