4.5.11 Installing

the receiving flask

1. Attach the receiving flask to the condenser/cooling trap jacket with

spherical joint clip KS 35.

2. Secure with knurled screw.
The receiving flask is now installed on the condenser/cooling trap

jacket/junction.

4.5.12 Connecting cooling water (not G5)

Use a suitable hose with an inside diameter of 7–8 mm (e.g. hose set

(see Accessories chapter 10.2, page 133))

1. Push the hose (cooling water inlet) (1) over the hose couplings (2) of the

screw connection caps. Do this with the cooling water outlet (3) as well.

2. Secure the hoses with hose clips.
The cooling water inlet and outlet connections are now established.

4.5.13 Connecting the vacuum

The Woulff bottle is connected to the vacuum valve (not Laborota 4002 / 4003

with Rotavac vario control).

Imploding glass vessels!

Risk of severe injury due to broken glass.

Check glass parts for damage (cracks, chips, etc.)

Use only glass parts that are in flawless condition.
