Verify that the Port setting matches the computer port that the RS-232 cable is
attached to.

Verify the Baud rate of the software and monitor match.

Select Find Instrument to test the connection.

The comm dialog box also provides a simple command/response interface section
in which the ASCII command set detailed in

section 5.3 on page 5-6

can be sent to

the monitor and the responses from the SQM-160 can be recieved.

4.8 Graph Options

Right click anywhere on the graph display on the main window to bring up the graph
options. This provides access to common graph axis and grid settings.

The graph tabbed window allows for complete control of the graph appearance. To
make the changes permanent, select Control tab, followed by the General subtab,
and select Save. Save to the Avg_dep.oc2 or Ch_dep.oc2 disk files.
In most cases, The only tab that may need adjustment is the axis tab. Under the
axis tab, in the scale subtab:
Y-Axis Max . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The maximum value displayed on the

graph's Y-axis, in Å/s.

Y-Axis Min . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The minimum value displayed on the graph's

Y-axis, in Å/s.

X-Axis Max . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The maximum time displayed on the graph's

X-axis, in seconds. As elapsed time exceeds
the X Axis Max value, the graph scrolls to
display data. The total time displayed on the
graph is always the same as the X-axis Max
value.

X-Axis Min. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The minimum time displayed on the graph's

X-axis, in seconds.
