Do as follows on the router to configure.

Step 1 Run:

system-view

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

preplug slot

s l o t - i d

This command powers off the FIC/HIC.

10.2.3 Checking the configuration

Check the registration of the

FIC/HIC.

display device

After the power-off operation, run the display device command. In the displayed information,

check the items under Slot, to see whether an asterisk (*) appears. The * indicates that the
operation is successful and you can pull out the FIC/HIC. For example:
