CP

NOTE

Secure Routers 8002, 8004, and 8008 contain only one RPU, so they do not support this function.

Do as follows on the router.

Step 1 Run:

s y s t e m - v i e w

The system view appears.

Step 2 Run:

s l a v e s w i t c h o v e r { e n a b l e | d i s a b l e }

This command configures the router to allow or deny forced master/slave switchover.

If the master/slave switchover must be performed through the CLI, configure the router to

allow the switchover in this step.

Step 3 Run:

s l a v e a u t o - u p d a t e c o n f i g

This command configures automatic synchronization to the slave RPU.

This step is optional. By default, the system automatically synchronizes data to the slave
RPU.

Step 4

Run:

quit

This command returns the CLI to the system view.

Step 5 Run:

s a v e

This command saves the configuration file.

Step 6 Run:

s y s t e m - v i e w

The system view appears.

Step 7 Run:

s l a v e s w i t c h o v e r

This command performs the master/slave switchover.

CQ NOTE

Ensure that the router operates normally.
