Thread machine in the usual way.
Placing Fabric Under Foot
Most fabrics can be placed under the foot
by raising the presser foot lifter a to its
normal up position 1, where it locks. When
using bulky fabric, multiple fabric layers,
or an embroidery hoop, raise the presser
foot lifter to the high rise position 2 thus
increasing the space between foot and
needle plate. Hold presser foot lifter in
position while placing fabric under the
presser foot.

1 When starting to stitch at the fabric
edge:
• Position needle in very edge of fabric,
by turning the hand wheel toward you.
• Lower the presser foot all the way
down and stitch. Thread will lock over
fabric edge.
2 When -starting to stitch away from fabric
edge:
• Leave presser foot in its upper posi­
tion.
• Pull thread back under presser foot
and cut.
• Position needle in from fabric edge,
then lower the presser foot and stitch.

Disposez l’ouvrage sous le pied
Pour la plupart des tissus, il suffit de sou­
lever le levier presseur (a) jusqu’à sa posi­
tion haute (1) où II se verrouille, et de
disposer l’ouvrage sous le pied. Si l’ouvra­
ge est très épais ou si vous utilisez un
cercle â broder, vous pouvez amener le
levier en position surélevée (2) et le main­
tenir dans cette position, tout en glissant
l’ouvrage sous le pied.

1 Lorsque vous commencez â piquer au
bord du tissu:
• Placez l’aiguille dans le tissu, tout au
bord, en tournant le volant â la main
vers vous.
• Abaissez compiéîernent le pied pres­
seur et piquez. Le fil se nouera au
dessus du bord du tissu.
2 Lorsque vous commencez â piquer
après le bord du tissu:
• Laissez le pied presseur en position
haute.
• Tirez le fil sous le pied presseur et
coupez-le.
• Placez l’aiguille dans le tissu, puis
abaissez le pied presseur et piquez.

Colocación del Material bajo el
Prénsatelas
La gran mayoría de los materiales se pueden
colocar bajo el prénsatelas levantado el ele­
vador del prénsatelas a a su posición superior
normal 1, donde se enclava. Cuando use
materiales de mucho bulto, capas de mate­
riales múltiples, o un aro para bordar, levante
el elevador del prénsatelas a la posición de
alta elevación 2, aumentando con ello el
espacio entre el prénsatelas y la plancha de la
aguja. Sujete el elevador del prénsatelas en
posición mientras coloca el material bajo el
prénsatelas.
Cómo Coser con Una Bobina

1 Al comenzar a coser en el borde del ma­
terial:
• Ponga en posición la aguja en el mismo
borde del material, girando el volante hacia
Usted.
• Baje el prénsatelas totalmente y cosa. El
hilo se enclavará sobre el borde del ma­
terial.
2 Al comenzar a coser lejos del borde del
material:
• Deje el prénsatelas en su posición supe­
rior.
• Tire del hilo hacia atrás bajo el prénsatelas
y córtelo.
• Ponga la aguja en posición desde el borde
del material, entonces baje el prénsatelas y
cosa.
