SMS and MMS
Go to Messaging via the apps menu or the shortcut on the Home screen.
You can create a new message by pressing the icon in the bottom right corner. In the
text-entry bar at the top of the screen enter the name(s) of the people you wish to send a
message to or select them from your contacts by tapping All Contacts. If the recipient’s
number is not stored in your contact list you can type it in directly.
In the same application you also have the option to send an MMS (multimedia message).
Press the icon located on the left of the text entry bar. A variety of options will appear
allowing multimedia files to be attached, converting the message from SMS to MMS:
· Capture picture.
· Capture video.
· Picture or video in the gallery.
· Audio.
· Record audio.
LSMS are limited to 160 characters. Text messages are limited to a maximum of 160 characters
per message. You can write longer texts which will be sent as a single message, however, for
billing purposes, your network operator will treat them as several messages. In contrast,
there is no limit to the text you can send with an MMS after attaching the multimedia file.
Once you have entered the recipient, the text and attached any multimedia files (if sending
an MMS), press the Send icon.
