Reduced Energy Let-Thru Mode

If the CPU is power cycled with the Reduced Energy Let-Thru Mode enabled, after power on, this
mode is disabled.

8.1 Operation

To enable Reduced Energy Let-Thru Mode
1.
Login to the HMI
2. Click on the Reduced Energy Let-Thru button on the menu bar
To disable, click again on the same button (see Figure 8-1).

Once OK is pressed, the following will be displayed, as shown in Figure 8-2. The message must
be acknowledged before Reduced Energy Let-Thru Mode will take effect.

This message warns users if one or more Messengers are not communicating, the multipoint
relays will not be operating for the zones with non-communicating messengers. In this case,
none of the Reduced Energy Let Thru settings will be operating and the user will not be given
any visual indication.

Visual Indication

Once either one of the CPUs are operating with the new Reduced Energy Let-Thru Mode
settings, the “Reduced Energy Let-Thru Mode” button will change to solid yellow. If the RELT
settings cannot be verified, the button will not change color.

NOTE: When Reduced Energy Let-Thru mode is turned on through FlexLogic, the “Reduced
Energy Let-Thru” button will not change to yellow. However, the user can view the
corresponding events in the Events Viewer screen. In addition, if the RELT Alarm is configured in
the Alarm Screen, the RELT Alarm will immediately turn on when the system is in RELT Mode.
