CAUTION

The POE power supply is designed exclusively for use with the FastIron X Series POE devices.
The power supply produces extensive power to support 802.3af applications. Installing the
power supply in a device other than the FastIron X Series POE will cause extensive damage to
your equipment. Use a separate branch circuit for each AC power cord, which provides
redundancy in case one of the circuits fails.

CAUTION

Ensure that the device does not overload the power circuits, wiring, and over-current protection.
To determine the possibility of overloading the supply circuits, add the ampere (amp) ratings of
all devices installed on the same circuit as the device. Compare this total with the rating limit for
the circuit. The maximum ampere ratings are usually printed on the devices near the input
power connectors.

CAUTION

Make sure the power supply is properly inserted in the slot. Never insert the power supply
upside down.

CAUTION

Do not attempt to install the power supply without first opening the latch on the front of the
power supply. Attempting to install the power supply with a closed latch will result in
mechanical damage to the power supply and power supply slot.

CAUTION

Before plugging a cable to any port, be sure to discharge any static charge stored on the cable
by touching the electrical contacts to ground surface.
