5. Configure the parameters, described in Table 28, for the new entry

and click the Apply button.

Parameter

Description

Target Parameters Name

A name for the entry of up to 32 alphanumeric characters.

Message Processing Model

Enter a value for the Message Processing Model field only if
you select SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c as the Security Model. If you
select the SNMPv3 protocol as the Security Model, then the
stack automatically assigns the Message Processing Model to
SNMPv3.

Security Model

The Security Model for this Security Name or User Name. The
possible values are

1-v1 - This value associates the Security Name or User Name
with the SNMPv1 protocol.

2-v2c - This value associates the Security Name or User Name
with the SNMPv2c protocol.

3-v3 - This value associates the Security Name or User Name
with the SNMPv3 protocol. The SNMPv3 protocol allows you to
configure the group to authenticate SNMPv3 entities (users)
and to encrypt messages.
