Section I: Basic Features

4. This step explains how to specify the source ports of the port mirror.

The source ports should be designated before the destination port. If
you want to mirror the traffic of source ports that are located on
different switches in the stack, you have to select the ports a switch at
a time.

To select the source ports:

a. Click the Modify button to display the popup window in Figure 24.

b. Use the stack ID pull-down menu in the upper left corner of the

switch image to select the ID number of a switch that has one or
more ports whose traffic you want to mirror, and click the Apply
button. If the switch is already displayed, you can skip this step.

Status

Displays the status of port mirroring on
the stack. The possible states are:

Enabled - The port mirror is active.

Disabled - The port mirror is disabled.
When the port mirror is disabled, no traffic
is copied to the destination port.
