3 Managing IVM
IVM provides various management functions. The procedures for configuring VPNs are complicated and
vary with the VPN technology used.
Managing VPN domains
IVM defines a VPN as a VPN domain, in which tunnels have similar settings. The VPN domain is
classified into IPsec VPN domains, GRE over IPsec domains, and DVPN domains.
You can query, add, modify, delete, configure VPN domains, configure global parameters for a VPN
domain, configure, view, and deploy tunnel configurations. These operation procedures vary with the
VPN domain type (IPsec VPN domains, GRE over IPsec domains, and DVPN domains). This section
describes how to query and delete VPN domains.
Viewing the VPN domain list
1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select IPsec VPN Manager > IPsec Resources > VPN Domains.
The VPN Domain List displays all VPN domains.
VPN Domain List contents

Domain Name—Name of the VPN domain. Click the name to view or configure the VPN
domain settings.

Type—Type of the VPN domain: IPsec VPN, GRE over IPsec, or DVPN.

Description—Description of the VPN domain.

Tunnels—Number of tunnels in the domain.
{
Receive Rate (bps)—Sum of the receive rates of all the hub tunnel endpoints in the domain, in
bps.

Send Rate (bps)—Sum of the send rates of all the hub tunnel endpoints in the domain, in bps.

Topology—Click the View Domain Topology icon to open the topology of the VPN domain.

Monitoring Data—Click the Monitoring Data icon to view the tunnel monitoring statistics
for the VPN domain. For more information, see " Monitoring tunnels and VPN domains ."

Modify—Click the Modify icon to modify the settings of the VPN domain.
Querying IPsec VPN domains
1. Click the Service tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select IPsec VPN Manager > IPsec Resource Manager > VPN Domains.
The VPN Domain List displays all VPN domains.
3. Enter a partial or complete name of the VPN domain you want to query for.
