Synchronizing IPsec devices

devices. After the synchronization, IVM automatically discovers and monitors IPsec tunnels on the IPsec
devices.

Click the Service tab.

2.

From the navigation tree, select IPsec VPN Manager > IPsec Resources > IPsec Devices.
The IPsec Device List displays all IPsec devices.

3.

Select the IPsec devices you want to synchronize.

4.

Click Synchronize.
The operation result page displays the synchronization result. If failures occurred, the failure
reason is also displayed.

Deleting IPsec devices

You can manually delete IPsec devices from IVM.
Deleting an IPsec device from IVM does not delete the device from the IMC Platform or from BIMS, but all

the IPsec configurations, including the tunnel and VPN domain settings on the device, are deleted.
To delete IPsec devices:

1.

Click the Service tab.

2.

From the navigation tree, select IPsec VPN Manager > IPsec Resources > IPsec Devices.
The IPsec Device List displays all IPsec devices.

3.

Select the IPsec devices you want to delete.

4.

Click Delete.
A confirmation dialog box appears.

5.

Click OK.

Setting tunnel traps

To monitor tunnel setup and disconnect events on an IPsec device, you can configure it to send traps to
IMC whenever an IPsec tunnel is set up or disconnected. IVM records the tunnel setup and disconnect

history for individual IPsec devices. You can view a tunnel trap details from IMC's Real-Time Alarms and

All Alarms views. For more information, see HP Intelligent Management Center v7.0 Enterprise and

Standard Platform Administrator Guide.
