6.3.2.13 area stub
This command creates a stub area for the specified area ID. A stub area is characterized by
the fact that AS External LSAs are not propagated into the area. Removing AS External
LSAs and Summary LSAs can significantly reduce the link state database of routers within
the stub area.
Syntax
area <areaid> stub
no area <areaid> stub
<areaid> - Area ID.
<no> - This command deletes a stub area for the specified area ID.

This command configures the Summary LSA mode for the stub area identified by <areaid>.
The Summary LSA mode is configured as enabled.
Syntax
area <areaid> stub summarylsa
no area <areaid> stub summarylsa
<areaid> - Area ID.
<no> - This command configures the default Summary LSA mode for the specified stub area.
