6.3.2.30 ip ospf hello -interval

This command sets the OSPF hello interval for the specified interface.


Syntax

ip ospf hello-interval <1-65535>

no ip ospf hello-interval

< 1-65535 > - Is a valid positive integer, which represents the length of time in seconds. The value for
the length of time must be the same for all routers attached to a network.
<no> - This command sets the default OSPF hello interval for the specified interface.


Default Setting

The default hello interval is 10 seconds.

6.3.2.31 ip ospf priority

This command sets the OSPF priority for the specified router interface


Syntax

ip ospf priority <0-255>

no ip ospf priority

< 0-255 > - The range of the priority value is 0 to 255. A value of '0' indicates that the router is not eligible
to become the designated router on this network.
<no> - This command sets the default OSPF priority for the specified interface.


Default Setting

The default priority value is 1. It is the highest router priority.
