Generally, adapter switch settings are preset and adapters are preinstalled prior to shipment.
However, in the event you need to do any part of this installation on-site, you must determine the
correct switch settings for the adapters in question. Refer to
Adapter Settings in the Hardware
Installation chapter as well as referring to the illustrations in this appendix.
