<SYNC>
Use this job to set the MIDI synchronization type. Three settings are available, as
follows. The factory default setting is INTERNAL.

SYNC=INTERNAL

The SU700 uses its internal clock to control song-play tim-
ing. It outputs the clock signal through the MIDI OUT ter-
minal, so that the signal can be used to synchronize exter-
nal devices.

SYNC=

EXTERNAL

The SU700 controls song-play timing in accordance with
an external clock signal supplied to the SU700’s MIDI IN
terminal by an external MIDI device. The SU700 does not
output any clock signal.

SYNC=

MTC SLAVE

The SU700 controls song-play timing in accordance with
MTC (MIDI time code) supplied to the SU700’s MIDI IN
terminal by an external MIDI device. The SU700 does not
recognize any other incoming messages when this setting is
in effect. (Note that you can set an MTC time offset to ad-
just timing with respect to the incoming time code (

230).
