Deleting an ARP

Table Entry

To remove a dynamic ARP entry from the ARP cache, perform the
following procedure:

1. From the Main Menu, type 5 to select System Administration.

The System Administration menu is shown in Figure 4 on page 54.

2. From the System Administration menu, type 9 to select System

Utilities.

The System Utilities menu is shown in Figure 7 on page 61.

3. From the System Utilities menu, type 6 to select Networking Stack.

The Networking Stack menu is shown in Figure 54 on page 187.

4. From the Networking Stack menu, type 2 to select Delete ARP Entry.

The following prompt is displayed:

Enter IP address of ARP entry to delete:

5. Enter the IP address of the entry you want to delete. You cannot delete

the first entry in the table with the interface designation “loopback.”

The entry is immediately removed from the table.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to delete additional ARP table entries.

You do not need to return to the main menu to save the changes made
with this procedure.

7. Return to the Main Menu.

Resetting the

ARP Table

To clear all entries from the ARP table, perform the following procedure:

1. From the Main Menu, type 5 to select System Administration.

The System Administration menu is shown in Figure 4 on page 54.

2. From the System Administration menu, type 9 to select System

Utilities.

The System Utilities menu is shown in Figure 7 on page 61.

3. From the System Utilities menu, type 6 to select Networking Stack.

The Networking Stack menu is shown in Figure 54 on page 187.

4. From the Networking Stack menu, type 3 to select Reset ARP Table.
