Remote SNMP Management
You can use the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to run a
network management application such as AT-View to remotely manage
the switch. A familiarity with how to use management information base
(MIB) objects is necessary for this type of management.
The AT-S63 software supports the following MIBs:
ˆ SNMP MIB-II (RFC 1213)
ˆ Bridge MIB (RFC 1493)
ˆ Interface Group MIB (RFC 2863)
ˆ Ethernet MIB (RFC 1643)
ˆ Remote Network MIB (RFC 1757)
ˆ Allied Telesyn managed switch MIBs
You must download the Allied Telesyn managed switch MIBs
(atistackinfo.mib and atistackswitch.mib) file from the Allied Telesyn web
site and compile the files with your SNMP application. For instructions,
refer to your third-party application’s documentation.
Note
The SNMP implementation in the AT-S63 management software
supports enhanced stacking. You can change to a slave switch from
a master switch during an SNMP management session.
