Section 5 — Timeline Operations

The color of the trim handle on the edit point changes to green or yellow
and trimming is enabled. The yellow trim handle is the active trim handle
at the focussed edit point.

Select the appropriate trim mode button in the Trim window according to
the desired trimming type. See

Table 8 on page 412

for more information on

The trimming mode changes according to the selected In and Out points.

Use these shortcuts to trim the clip:

] - Trim +1 frame (one frame after the current frame).

] - Trim +10 frames (10 frames after the current frame).

] - Trim -1 frame (one frame before the current frame).

] - Trim -10 frames (ten frames before the current frame).

When Ripple mode is On, trimming clips produces the results shown in

Click at the beginning (In point) or the end (Out point) of a clip.

The color of the trim handle at the edit point changes to green or yellow as
illustrated in

Figure 476

and trimming is enabled. The yellow trim handle

is the currently-selected trim handle at the edit point.

Note

An edit point may also be selected by clicking the Trim - Select IN point or
Trim - Select OUT point buttons in the Trim Window.
