Adding Voice Overs and Sound Effects

The level on the audio volume rubber band at the point of the Timeline
cursor is set to 0. See

Figure 872

.

Note

Pressing the [SHIFT

]+[

V

] keys on the keyboard also sets a V-mute

at the cursor location.

Adding Voice Overs and Sound Effects

Voice overs (narrations) and sound effects can be added to clips placed on
the Timeline.

To add a voice over or sound effect, perform the following actions:

1.

Select the audio track (A tracks only) on which to place the voice over
or sound effect and set an In point for the voice over or sound effect. See
Setting In and Out Points on Timeline

on page 326

for more information.

2.

Click the

Toggle Voice Over Display

button (highlighted in blue in

Figure 873

).

Note

Selecting Capture>Voice Over from the Preview window menu bar also dis-
plays the Voice Over dialog.
