Q: How many WLAN Phones can an AP support?

A: It varies with the brand of the Access Point.

Q: Does this phone come with any SIP client?

A: This phone comes with a Microsoft® SIP client. Also, interfaces can be made available

for 3rd party plug-in.

Q: What kind of input methods does the phone support?

A: Currently, the input method is developed in-house. Other input methods can be added

at customer’s request or recommendation.

Q: How do I toggle between entering lower and upper case letters?

A: There are applications (e.g. Internet Explorer) that allow the user to explicitly choose

lower or upper case letters by means of a menu. For applications that do not have such

explicit menu (e.g. filling out the Network Key for an AP), pressing the # Key (when input

mode is “abc” or “ABC”) will toggle between lower and upper case.

Q: I am at a new location, but it seems like the phone is still connected to the previous

AP, why?

A: The phone keeps a list of APs that you have connected to. It will try to connect to these

APs the next time you turn on the phone. If the previous AP has a generic name (e.g.

“abcd”) and there is another AP with the same name in your new location, the phone will try

to connect to this AP. Even if the new AP is hidden (i.e. you cannot see its SSID when you

do a scan), you can still connect to it if you have the correct credentials. So, it may seem

like you are still connected to your previous AP, but, in fact, you are connected to an AP with

the same name in your new location.
