VRRP-E backup
When short-path-forwarding is not enabled on the VRRP-E backup, then forwarding of the VRRP-E
backup is the same as VRRP backup. When short-path-forwarding is enabled, the VRRP/VRRP-E
backup itself can route packet instead of sending to the master.
VRRP/VRRP-E master backup state change
When the VRRP/VRRP-E master becomes the backup, it flushes all the CAM entries. When the
VRRP-E backup is enabled with short-path-forwarding, then when the state changes from master to
backup, the CAM entries are retained.
VRRP/VRRP-E configuration change
When the VPLS end point is added or deleted or a new remote peer is added or deleted, for the
VRRP/VRRP-E master or VRRP-E backup with short-path-forwarding enabled, the entries in the
CAM are added or deleted respectively enabling the reception of the VRRP related traffic.
Protocol priority classification
