The configuration is the same for VRRP or VRRP-E over VPLS VE. In
, the VRRP/VRRP-e is
configured similar to a VRRP/VRRP-E configuration over a regular Layer 2 based VE.
Configuration considerations
Consider the following when using VRRP and VRRP-E with routing over VPLS in a duel homing
topology.
•
A single host can be used to connect to two VPLS nodes within the same VPLS instance for
dual homing support. This provides redundancy in the event of VPLS node failure.
