The Setup Process

The way you set up your Final Cut Pro editing system depends on the video and audio
formats you are using for your project. You may use a basic DV/FireWire setup or a
professional, uncompressed video setup. You may also want to add external
components such as a video monitor, hardware audio mixer, or speakers. In either case,
setting up involves the following steps:

Step 1:

Connect video and audio input and output to your computer

Step 2:

Connect an external video monitor and audio speakers (optional)

Step 3:
