the address is disabled, the address will not be tested by the PM Scheduler, even if it
is enabled.
• SAM State is either Enabled of Disabled. If the address and the Profile are enabled,
the address will be tested by the SAM Scheduler if SAM Scheduler is enabled. If the
address is disabled, the address will not be tested by the SAM Scheduler, even if it is
enabled.
• PM Test mode
NOTE: To configure Y.1731 proprietary for PM/SAM/CPM, the MEG VLAN ID must match the
address VLAN ID. SOAM MEG and SOAM Destination MEP ID are accessible for Y.1731 test
procedures only. SOAM MEG is a combo box of existing MEGs. The destination MEP ID must
be a MEP ID included in the peer MEP list of the selected MEG. Only Y.1731 MEG can be used
for SM/PAM procedures (that is, no 802.1ag MAs).

4.6.4 Test Distribution Setup
Each connection represents a session to CV-EMS where network performance test results are to
be sent. The communications session between the server and the NID(s) is a proprietary
authenticated reliable data transfer protocol running over UDP/IP. The port number used on both
the server and NID is “1111”. The NID remains in a passive state, waiting for a connection
attempt to be made from the CV-EMS server. The displayed list shows the IP Address, State,
Status, Last Error, Sent, Acknowledged (Ack) and Lost packet information for each connection.
The maximum number of connections that can be configured for a NID is 8. From this screen you
