When composited over the image, there is distortion because of the proxyRatio.

There are two options to correct this. You can scale the X parameter by half, or increase
the Y parameter by two. The first option ensures the highest quality, but means you
have to render the original CG element at twice the resolution of the second option. In
this example, the image is scaled in the Y parameter by 2 with either a Transform–Scale
or Zoom node:

Inheritance of the defaultAspect Parameter for Individual Nodes

If you’re working on a nonsquare pixel video composite, it’s important that you
correctly set the defaultAspect parameter in the format subtree of the Globals tab
before you begin working on your composition. The aspectRatio parameter in Rotate
and other nodes inherits this parameter automatically whenever the nodes are created.

Changing the defaultAspect after the fact does not change any nodes you’ve already
created, but it only affects nodes that are created after you set the defaultAspect.

The following nodes inherit the defaultAspect parameter when they’re created:
