Applying Effects to Bluescreen Footage
Problems can occur when you apply effects to keyed footage. For example, suppose
you want to blur the foreground image, but not the background. Your first instinct
would probably be to apply a Blur node to the foreground image, and then key and
composite with Keylight. This is inadvisable. This section presents ways to find and avoid
problems with this workflow.
The following node tree uses the woman.iff and sky.jpg images in the
Tutorial_Media
directory. Special thanks to Skippingstone for the use of images from their short film
Doppelganger.
