broadcastHighQuality
When the broadcastHighQuality parameter is turned on, the image is fit to the size of
the broadcast monitor in software mode (rather than hardware mode). The
broadcastHighQuality parameter applies a scale node and a resize node, instead of
using OpenGL. The broadcastHighQuality parameter is enabled by default.

broadcastGammaAdjust
Lets you adjust the gamma of your broadcast monitor to insure proper viewing (for
example, if you are sending an SD NTSC signal to an HD monitor).

broadcastMonitorNumber
By default, Shake looks for the first available monitor with an SD or HD resolution to
use as the external monitor. If you have more than one monitor card installed on your
computer, this parameter lets you choose which monitor to use.

Note: The external display monitor doesn’t have to be a broadcast display. If you have
more than one computer display connected to your computer, the second one can be
used as the external preview display.

Navigating the Broadcast Monitor

You can use the standard Viewer navigation keys, such as pan (hold down the middle
mouse button and drag), zoom (press + or ), and Home in the broadcast Viewer.

To turn off the broadcast Viewer, do one of the following:

Click the Broadcast Monitor button in the Viewer shelf.

Position the pointer in the broadcast Viewer, right-click, then choose Delete Viewer
from the shortcut menu.

Monitor Calibration With Truelight

Shake includes Truelight, a color management system that lets you simulate on your
Shake preview monitor, as closely as possible, the image that will eventually be printed
to film or displayed on a high definition monitor or projector. This simulation is based
on calibration data acquired from a variety of film stocks, film recorders, monitors,
digital projectors, and film projectors, and on calibration profiles that you can generate
yourself.

There are three parts to the Truelight tools:

TLCalibrate, in the Other tab, is a utility node that you can use to accurately calibrate
your monitor’s color characteristics. This node allows you to create a calibration
profile by eyeballing adjustments to a series of ten images using the controls within
this node. Once you’ve made your adjustments, you can save this profile for future
use.
