example, we read the value of a parameter in a 1305 drive.

The default setting for Service Type is “Custom,” which enables you to enter a Service
Code that is not available from the Service Type pull-down menu. When you select a
Service Type other than “Custom” from the pull-down menu, an appropriate Hex. value
is automatically assigned to the service Code box which grays out (unavailable).
