Troubleshooting

The module maintains an event queue that reports the history of its
actions. You can view the event queue using DriveExplorer (4.03 or
higher) or DriveExecutive (3.01 or higher) software.

Events

Many events in the Event queue occur under normal operation. If you
encounter unexpected communications problems, the events may help
you or Allen-Bradley personnel troubleshoot the problem. The following
events may appear in the event queue:

SCANport
Bus Off Flt

A bus-off condition was detected on SCANport. This event may
be caused by loose or broken cables or by noise.

Ping Time Flt A ping message was not received on SCANport within the

specified time.

Port ID Flt

The module is not connected to a correct port on a SCANport
product.

5

Port Change
Flt

The SCANport port changed.

6

Host Sent
Reset

The drive sent a reset event message.

7

EEPROM
Sum Flt

The EEPROM in the module is corrupt.

Online @
125kbps

The module detected that the drive is communicating at 125
kbps.

Reserved

Not used.

Bad Host Flt

The module was connected to an incompatible product.

Type 2 Login

The module has logged in for type 2 control.

Type 2 Time
Flt

The module has not received a type 2 status message within the
specified time.

DL Login

The module has logged into a Datalink.

DL Reject Flt The drive rejected an attempt to log in to a Datalink because the

Datalink is not supported or is used by another peripheral.

The module has not received a Datalink message within the
specified time.
