Total Supported Devices and Limits
The following table lists the total numbers of devices by type that can be connected to a
BaseStation 1000. The BaseStation 1000 can communicate with a maximum of 110 device loads on
the two-wire path within the layout and length limits outlined later in this section.

You can configure 50 zones in the 1000 or 1000R controller. Unused ports or serial numbers on
biCoders do not occupy a zone address and do not count towards the 50 zone limit.
Memory Expansion Modules for the BaseStation 1000
The BaseStation 1000 can be upgraded to support up to 100 zones, 3 points of connection, 40
programs, and 20 sensors. The BL-1000MEXP-BM expansion module provides full support for
BaseManager 2.0. You can add up to 2 expansion modules to your BaseStation 1000. Refer to
Adding Expansion Modules on page 87.
