Press TIMER SET.

"TIMER ON” appears and a figure
indicating the hour blinks.

Set the hour of the timer-on time with

PRESET/TIMER + or and then press
ENTER/NEXT.

Set the minute of the timer-on time

with PRESET/TIMER + or and then
press ENTER/NEXT.

“TIMER OFF” appears and a figure
indicating hour blinks.

Set the hour of the timer-off time with

As you press + or the source
changes:

When you choose TAPE, use only deck

B for “Timer-activated operation.”

Press ENTER/NEXT.

8 Prepare the source; tuning in a

station, inserting the CD or tape.

Press SYSTEM POWER to turn off the

system.
Make sure that “TIMER” is on.
At the timer-on time, the system turns on
automatically.

You can set the volume for timer-
activated operation using Program

Function.

ON/STANDBY

By using the Program Function, you can call
up the volume setting automatically when
the power is turned on for timer-activated
operation. This is convenient for when you
want to wake up to music, etc. See “Storing
the setting of sound effects” (page 52) for
operation.
