Enter a ten character code to be used in Transact. Click the OK button.

Modify Tax Authorities in Transact

To force a match between a QuickBooks tax authority and a Transact tax authority, select
a tax authority from the QuickBooks list and Transact list. Click the Modify Tax in
Transact button. This will change the Transact tax authority description to match the
QuickBooks name. Once there is a match, the tax authority will be removed from both
lists. NOTE: If the Transact tax authority description is preferred, the QuickBooks tax
authority will need to be modified manually.

Misc. Setup 

Combine Taxes on Invoice

When checked, taxes for all transactions will be combined on each invoice.

Added Charges Account

Select the QuickBooks item used for added charges from the drop-down list.

QuickBooks Exempt Account

An exempt tax account must be setup in QuickBooks to maintain the flexibility of the tax
structure within Transact. To add an exempt tax account to QuickBooks, select Lists |
Item Lists. Select Item | New. A new item window appears.

Use the above example to add an exempt tax item. Be certain to set Tax Rate% to 0.0%.
Click the OK button to save changes.
