5 Preparing the CNC Saddle Machine for Operation
NOTE: Proper spacers, spacer bolts or step spacers must be selected and installed on the
Mathey CNC Saddle Machine before mounting and executing cuts.
5.1 Mounting the Mathey CNC on the Pipe
5.1.1 Remove the CNC Saddle Machine Component Assembly (Figure 5-7, Item 1) from the storage box.
5.1.2 Spacer bolt Installation (1SA / 2SA Only)
5.1.2.1 Select the correct Spacer Bolt for pipe being cut. The top of the spacer bolt storage box will help
with the selection of the correct spacer for standard pipe sizes.

5.1.2.2 Install the Spacer Bolts (4 bolts) in the four (4) holes in the 1SA/2SA Machine Saddle, with the
threaded end of the Bolts near the inside bore (I.D.) of the Saddle.
