Manually Map Discrete Data

Manually Map Discrete(rack) Data

1. On the 56RioCfgAdpt dialog box, right-click on the rack, and choose

Rack Map Discretes - Assign Manually.

2. On the Map Rack… Manually dialog box, from the CLX Block pull-

down, select the ControlLogix scheduled block and Data Offset within
the block.

3. Click OK to accept the mapping.

TIP

On monitored racks, inputs and outputs get mapped to
ControlLogix inputs, so be careful when mapping them so that
they don’t overlap.

RIO module monitors input data sent to the scanner by the monitored rack. It is
reported in the ControlLogix controller as input data.

Remote I/O scanner inputs are mapped from the ControlLogix outputs. The
ControlLogix controller writes output tags to the 1756-RIO module, which sends the
data to the remote I/O scanner as input data.
