Working with Remote Server Logs Using the CLI Commands

The following table summarizes the CLI command for working with remote

log servers.

The following is an example of the CLI commands:

IP Addressing

This section describes how to configure IP addresses on the switch, and

contains the following topics:

Table 6-16. Remote Log Server CLI Commands

CLI Command

Description

logging host {ipv4-address | ipv6-

address | hostname} [port port]

[severity level] [facility

facility] [description text]

no logging host {ipv4-address |

ipv6-address | hostname}

Logs messages to a remote server

with this IP address.
Use the no form of this command

to delete the SYSLOG server with

the specified address from the list

of SYSLOGs.

show syslog-servers

Displays list of SYSLOG servers.

console (configure) # logging host 1.1.1.1

console# show syslog-servers
