SELECT SURFACE

Select one or two surfaces to be measured from a

maximum of four measurement target surfaces. The

number of surfaces to be selected differs according

to the setting of [MEASUREMENT].

[MAX] (Maximum)

[MAX] measures the target surface of the highest

light intensity peak picked up from the peaks that

exceed the light intensity level. [MAX] can be

performed on many measurement targets including

an opaque object to measure its displacement and

slant.

[M1], [M2]

[M1] and [M2] measure the highest and the second-

highest light intensity peaks picked up from the

peaks that exceed the light intensity level. The one

nearer to the measuring unit is measured as M1 and

the other as M2.

It is useful to measure the surface displacement,

backside displacement and thickness of a target

such as transparent glass that has very close

measured values on the surface and backside.

To measure in [M1] and [M2], more than one light

intensity peak exceeding the light intensity level is

needed.
