Basic Settings

The procedure used to set the ranges of the areas is

explained as follows.

Select [AREA] from [BASIC] on the program

mode screen.

The area setting screen appears.

Select [AREA 1].

Select a measurement method for [AREA1].

Select from among [AVG], [MAX], [MIN] and

[DIFF].

Select [AREA2].

Select a measurement method for [AREA2] in the

same manner.

Press the [ENTER] button.

The areas are fixed.

[DIME] (Area measurement) can only be set for Area2.

However, it cannot be set when a calculation (A1–A2

and A1+A2) is set for [MEASUREMENT].

Area setting for the area measurement

Switch the upper and lower limits of Area 1 and set

both ends of the scanning range in Area 1. Measure

the area of Area 2 using the approximated line of

Area 1 as a reference.

specified within the scanning range.

Two areas can be set: [A1 (Area 1)] and [A2 (Area

2)].

Using the respective values measured in [A1] and
