OPTIONAL Settings

This section describes the auto slant correction

function used to correct measurement errors

caused by tilted or angled targets.

Measurement errors will result when measuring

the thickness of a tilted or angled target. The auto

slant correction detects slanting of the target and

corrects the value.

(Supported only in the LT-9010(M))

Auto slant correction

The auto slant correction prevents measurement

errors caused by slanting when measuring the

thickness of a transparent object.

The procedure used to set the auto slant correction is

explained as follows.

1

Select [

CORRECT] from [OPTIONAL] on the

program mode screen.

The correction setting screen appears.

2

Select [AUTO SLANT COR].

3

Select [ON] by using the [

] and [] buttons.

CORRECT (Auto slant correction)

4

Press the [ENTER] button.

Auto slant correction is set to ON.

The setting is active only when [MEASUREMENT] is

set to [THICK] and [WIDTH/INTERVAL] is set to

anything other than [OFF] and [4/1].

The slant correction is calculated based on the

surface that is set in OUT1 as measurement target

surface 1.
