Select this option to begin conditional sampling. Conditional sample is much like Discrete Sample
with regard to setting site description, sample interval, etc. The difference is that the specific
condition which you wish to act as a switch for the 6000

UPG

must first be defined in 5. Define

condition. If an Unattended sample is active, a conditional sample can not be set up until the
unattended sample has been stopped. When conditional sampling is activated, the condition will
appear under the parameter header at the top of the screen and data will appear and be logged if the
condition is met.

Select this option to name the site of the sample. The site description can have up to 31 characters,
but only 8 characters will be used when naming the file after transfer to a computer or data logger.
The site description you enter will be displayed as the file name to help you identify the file later.

Select this option to set up the number of seconds between samples. While the user defined
condition exists, the 6000

UPG

will record data to flash disk memory at the interval you specify.

Select this option to close a conditional sample file. As soon as the first conditional sample data
has been logged to flash disk memory, the 6000

UPG

will automatically open a file with the site

description you have entered. This file will remain open until it is closed using 4. Close File.
After you stop a conditional sample, you can leave the file open and log to the same file at a later
time. If you choose to log to an open file at a later time, you can continue to use the condition you
defined earlier or choose a new condition. In addition, you can also log to this file in a Discrete
Sample mode.

Select this option to set up any parameter as a conditional switch. You define a high or low level
threshold for the parameter you have selected which must exist before the 6000

UPG

will log data to

flash disk memory. If, and only if, the condition of the sample reaches the level you have defined,
will the 6000

UPG

begin logging data to flash disk memory.

After 5 Define Condition is pressed, the following menu will be displayed.
