4.5 SYSTEM SETUP

Select 5. System setup from the sonde Main menu to custom configure your system with regard to
parameters such as date, time, radix, communication protocol, and instrument ID.

Select this option to choose the date format and set the correct date and time. Select a date format
from the list provided. The three choices are: month/day/year, day/month/year, or year/month/day.
Next enter the date and time as prompted on the screen. Press Enter after each selection.

Note: For convenience, any non-numeric key (such as space) in addition to / and : will separate the
fields in the date and time entries.

Select this option to choose either the period (.) or the comma (,) as the character to separate the
integer and fractional parts of a number (example 99.44 or 99,44). This separating character is
called a decimal point or radix mark. Choose the character which is commonly used in the country
in which the 6000

UPG

is being used.
