23. Other useful features.
This chapter details how to check the system properties, how to reset the
unit back to factory defaults and how to manage the PLEXTALK memory.
23.1. Checking system properties.
In the event of requiring to contact local agent, you may be required to
quote the system version and/or the PLEXTALK serial number. The system
version refers to the version of the internal firmware and the serial number
is the unique identifier for your PLEXTALK.
If you require to find out the system version or the serial number of your
PLEXTALK, this is easily done as follows:
• Press the Menu key once to access the Main Menu.
• Use the Number 4 or 6 key to go to the "Control panel" option and
select it by pressing the Enter key.
• Use the Number 4 or 6 key to go to the "System properties" option
and select it by pressing the Enter key.
• The system version and serial number will be played repeatedly.
• When you have noted the information that you require, press the
Enter key to exit the menu system.
NOTE: The serial number should also be printed on the label on the
underside of PLEXTALK.
23.2. Reset PLEXTALK to factory defaults.
If, for any reason, you need to set all the PLEXTALK settings back to their
factory defaults, this can be achieved very simply. This section details
what the default settings are and how to reset PLEXTALK.
