Measuring the ORP

8.2.1

Preparatory activities

Perform the following preparatory activities when you want to measure:

Temperature sensor

You can measure with or without a temperature sensor. The TP display
indicator appears when a temperature sensor is connected.

1

Adjust the temperature of the solutions and measure the cur-
rent temperature if the measurement is made without a temper-
ature sensor.

2

Connect the ORP electrode to the meter.

3

Highlight the channel of the electrode in the measured value
display.

4

If necessary, select the U or dU display with <MODE>.

5

Adjust the temperature of the solutions and measure the cur-
rent temperature if the measurement is made without a temper-
ature sensor.

6

With manual temperature input:
Call up the manual input of the temperature value with
Measuring / Setting of man. temp....

7

Enter the measured temperature value and confirm it with [OK].

8

Check the meter with the electrode.

Note
ORP electrodes are not calibrated. However, you can check ORP
electrodes using a measuring solution.

Note
If using an ORP electrode without temperature sensor, you can also
use the temperature sensor of another electrode (see page 62). In this
case, the indication from which channel the temperature value is
taken appears next to the temperature value.
