13.2.1 Absolute Reset Preparation
The following jigs are required to perform an absolute reset:
x Absolute Reset Adjustment jigs

JG-1 Arm length 500/600
JG-2 Arm length 250/300/350
JG-3 Arm length 700/800
JG-4 Arm length 500/600 high-speed type
JG-5 Arm length 120/150/180
Connect the cables of the actuator, controller and PC to make an operable status. Always check operation
of the EMG switch before performing work. The absolute reset adjustment jig is always required to
perform an absolute reset for the rotation axis and vertical axis, but not always required for arm 1 and arm
2. (Rotation data can be reset as long as positioning preciseness of "center of positioning mark label ± 1
graduation" is ensured.)

x Performing work without understanding inspection and maintenance work thoroughly may cause an
accident resulting in injury or death.
x Post a sign "MEN WORKING" to prevent other workers from operating the controller, operation panel or
other equipment.
