Failure
Fatal Hardware Error.
ƒ Make sure the PLC has power.
ƒ Examine PLC Fault Table for
clues.*
ƒ Recheck PLC Programmer
configuration.
ƒ Power off the PLC rack, inspect the
Interface for loose components,
reseat the Interface, and Restart.
ƒ Try a different slot.
ƒ If the problem persists, replace the
Interface or PLC hardware.

Loader
ƒ Restart pushbutton until the

ƒ Connect a PC Software Loader and
load new software. See Appendix C.
ƒ Cycle power or press Restart
pushbutton again for less than 5
seconds to restart the Interface and
clear the load request.

Maintenance, press the Restart
pushbutton for less than 5 seconds.
This clears the Maintenance request.

Operational
If the LAN ONLINE LED is
OFF, the problem may be:
ƒ
Network cable not
connected or transceiver not
connected to Interface or
bad transceiver.
ƒ Network cable not
terminated properly.
ƒ SQE not enabled on
transceiver.
If the STATUS LED is OFF, an
exception condition has
occurred.
ƒ
ƒ
Connect cable and transceiver
properly. Replace transceiver.
ƒ Terminate network cable properly.
ƒ Set SQE ON on transceiver in
accord with manufacturer’s
instructions.
ƒ Examine PLC Fault Table to find
out why the STATUS LED is OFF.
